The Swiss Bircher Muesli


  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 apple
  • 2 tbsp raisins/almonds or hazelnuts
  • 2 tbsp yoghurt (or dairy free as appropriate)
  • Dash cinnamon
  • Drizzle of honey


  1. Cover the oats with the apple juice and leave to soak overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. In the morning, peel and coarsely grate the apple and add this, the nuts or raisins, yoghurt, cardamom and cinnamon to the oats.
  3. Stir well and enjoy.
