Easy, quick, and delicious. This Spicy Fried Ramen noodles recipe takes your average instant ramen noodles and transforms it into an upgraded version that’s flavourful, super easy to make and will have your mouth on fire.
Ingredients
2 packets ramen or other instant noodles, discard seasoning
2 tbsp oil, I used sesame oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 freshly chopped green chillies
1/2 onion, sliced
3 chicken breast chopped (season with a Japanese spice called Shichimi Togarashi and salt or just pepper, salt and chilli powder)
Stir fry veg, I don’t add all the cabbage instead I added bok choy
Sauce:
2 tbsp dark soy sauce
2 tbsp Oyster sauce (or Hoisin)
4 tsp Hoisin sauce (or more Oyster sauce)
2 tbsp Mirin
Add chilli sauce or samyang hot sauce according to your taste (I used the samyang sauce which will have your mouth on fire)
Method
Mix Sauce.
Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add onion, chilli and garlic, cook for 1 and a 1/2 minutes until starting to go golden.
Add seasoned chicken and cook just until the outside mostly changes from pink to white.
Add Sauce and cook for 1 minute until chicken is quite caramelised.
Add stir fry veg and bok choy, frying for a minute or two.
Push chicken and veg to the side to make enough space for the noodles.
Add cooked noodles and toss well.
Serve immediately, garnished with green onions, sesame seeds, crushed sea weed and chilli.
