Spicy Creamy Chicken Liver
My version of a quick and easy spicy creamy chicken liver perfect to have with some soft buttered Portuguese rolls.
Spicy Creamy Chicken Liver


  • Chicken liver washed and cleaned twice
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 4 tbsp Nandos peri-peri sauce (add according to your taste)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic sauce
  • 1 tsp lemon and herb sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp chilli powder (according to your taste)
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • 3 tablespoon water
  • salt and pepper


  1. In a pot add 2 tablespoon butter and 2 tablespoon olive oil on medium heat.
  2. Add crushed garlic letting it sizzle for a minute.
  3. Add washed liver coating it well with garlic adding your water and leaving to cook for five minutes.
  4. Add chilli powder, salt, pepper and sauces, mixing gently for a minute.
  5. Add the fresh cream leaving it on low to cook for between 10 minutes.
  6. You can adjust the sauce amounts according to your taste.
  7. Garnish with chilli flakes and chopped coriander
