Low Carb Chai Porridge
A delicious low carb sugar free saffron chai porridge absolutely heaven. You can easily omit the spices and saffron for a normal porridge.
Low Carb Chai Porridge


  • 2 tablespoon coconut flour
  • 1/2 or slightly less tablespoon psyllium husk
  • 3/4 cup water (12 tbsp)
  • 1/2 cup milk or or coconut milk (according to how thick or thin you want it)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • Pinch of cardamom powder
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Roasted nuts
  • Pinch of saffron (one strand)


  1. Beat the egg adding to the milk and set aside.
  2. In a separate pan toast your nuts till slightly golden and set aside
  3. Add butter to medium heated pot allowing it to melt, adding your spices and saffron.
  4. Add the coconut flour and psyllium husk mixing till well combined, adding in the water till all mixed.
  5. Pour the egg milk mixture and sugar according to your taste stirring slowing making sure there’s no lumps, you can adjust the thickness of your porridge.
  6. Dish into a bowl, topping it with your toasted nuts.
