Paneer Bhurji
Paneer Bhurji is scrambled Indian cottage cheese with onion, tomatoes and spices! This is an easy and quick recipe that gets done in less than 30 minutes and pairs well with flat breads like roti and paratha.
Paneer Bhurji


  • 1 block of paneer crumbled with your hands
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 1 tsp red chilli ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 jam tomato chopped
  • curry leaves
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 fresh green chillies
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
  • 1 1/2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp jeera powder
  • 1/2 tsp dhania powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Pinch of jeera seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil


  1. Heat oil in a pan or Kadai.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let it crackle.
  3. Then add chopped onions, green chili, red chill ginger and garlic paste and saute till translucent.
  4. Now add tomatoes and salt. stir well.
  5. Once it's soft, add all spices and sprinkle some water.
  6. Let it simmer for a minute.
  7. Add chopped peppers and crumbled paneer.
  8. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves.
  9. Give it a nice stir and simmer in low flame for 2 minutes.
