Red Ginger Garlic Paste
My famous ingredient, I am always using in my recipes. Homemade red chilli ginger and garlic paste. I honestly cannot do without it. Perfect for curries, marinates and soups. Homemade and freshly ground is the best.
Red Ginger Garlic Paste


  • 1 cup ground dried red chillies
  • 1/2 cup ground fresh ginger
  • 1/2 cup ground fresh garlic
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder



  1. I washed my dried red chillies thoroughly and cut out the brown stems.
  2. Soak them for a few hours until soft.
  3. I added my soft dried red chillies to a liquidizer with a dash of water process till crushed.
  4. Add the crushed chillies to the ginger and garlic along with the red chilli powder.
  5. I also add about two teaspoons of oil to my paste and mix well.
