Eggless Soji Cake
A super quick and easy eggless Soji cake. So moist and delicious perfect for that hot cup of tea. I found this recipe from a Halaal website on google and the recipe is originally from @cookingandbakingcreations
Eggless Soji Cake


  • 1 cup semolina
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • A drop of rose essence
  • 2 cups milk
  • 250g butter
  • Coconut and almond to sprinkle


  1. Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. On the stove melt your butter adding your vanilla essence, milk and rose essence. Bring to a boil stirring all the time.
  3. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Mix well and into a well grease baking pan. Sprinkle some almonds.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes at 180 degrees C until golden brown on top and toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Sprinkle coconut over. Leave to cool, slice and enjoy.
