Garlic Butter Pot Of Mussels


  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 2 crushed fresh garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
  • 1 tsp chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup diced purple onions
  • 1 tsp parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • 1/2 to 1 cup of dry white wine (can substitute with seafood stock) 
  • Salt and pepper
  • 450g half shell muscles washed thoroughly


  1. In a saucepan heat your butter on medium heat until melted
  2. Add the chopped onions and garlic letting it fry on low to medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Take the washed and dried muscles and add it to the pot along with the chilli flakes. Mixing for a minute.
  4. Add the dry white wine letting it cook for 2 minutes, thereafter add the fresh cream. Leave on low covered to cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle some parmesan cheese and garnish with the coriander and green onions.
