Chilli Cream Cheese Gnocchi
Ingredients
400 gram fresh gnocchi
1 tbsp cream cheese (I used sour cream and chives)
250 ml fresh cream
1 1/2 tbsp parmesan cheese
2 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper
Chopped fresh coriander
1 tsp crush garlic
2 tbsp finely chopped spring onions
Sweet chilli sauce (optional)
2 tbsp chilli paste, I used Midlands Food Company’s Milli Chilli from Spar (add according to your taste)
1 tbsp roasted pine nuts
Method
Add butter or oil in a pan on low heat allowing to melt.
Add chopped onions, chilli paste and garlic leaving to sauté for a few seconds
Add your gnocchi to your pan and sautéing for 3 minutes.
Pour in your fresh cream, cream cheese and parmesan cheese leaving on low and lightly stirring till the sauce starts to thicken.
Season with salt and pepper.
You can adjust the taste here, if you want more chilli or more creamy or you can add a drop of sweet chilli sauce.
Sprinkle parmesan cheese, pine nuts and garnish with some freshly chopped coriander.
