Chilli Asian Korean Soy And Sesame Chicken


  • 6 to 8 Pieces of chicken (drumsticks and thighs)
  • 4 tbsp Asian Korean soy and sesame glaze from woolworths
  • 2 tbsp Sambel Oelek (add according to your taste - can be purchased from woolworths)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Shichimi Togarashi (Japanese chilli powder - can be purchased at any chinese supermarket)
  • 1 crushed garlic clove
  • Chopped coriander
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Wash your chicken, pat dry and make two slits on each piece of chicken.
  2. Season your chicken with salt, pepper and Shichimi Togarashi. Note not to add to much of salt, asian sauces already contain salt.
  3. Add the rest of your marinate ingredients to a bowl and whisk.
  4. Add your marinate to your chicken rubbing the marinate all over till well coated. Leave to marinate overnight or for at-least a hour.
  5. Set your air-fryer timer for 30 minutes on 165
  6. Once preheated place your chicken all in one layer into your air-fryer tray.
  7. After 30 minutes add the rest remaining leftover marinate onto the chicken and increase the temperature to 200 for five minutes.
  8. Garnish with some freshly chopped coriander and toasted sesame seeds.

Note: You can add more or less of the above ingredients according to your taste.
