Aloo Chilli Cheese Paratha
Aloo chilli cheese paratha has got to be everyone’s meat free favorite foods. Many recipes requires yeast and some is just the quick old fashion way to make your normal roti’s and to sandwich that buttery potato filling toasted in a hot pan. Here is a quick easy cheat way recipe.
Aloo Chilli Cheese Paratha

Ingredients

Roti Ingredients

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup of boiling water

Filling Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes peeled, boiled and mashed
  • Crushed green chillies
  • Pinch of mustard seeds
  • 1/2 a chopped onion
  • Freshly chopped coriander
  • 1 tsp chilli powder according to your liking
  • 1/4 tsp jeera powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp dhania powder
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Finely grated mature cheddar
  • Salt to taste

Method

Method For Filling

  1. Add butter to a pan along with all the filling ingredients except the mash and cheese. Braise on low for five minutes.
  2. Add the braised mixture and cheese to your mash, mix till well combined

Method For Roti

  1. Add the flour, salt and 4 tbsp oil to the mixer and mix into bread crumb texture. Now add the boiling water with 1 tbsp oil and make into a dough.
  2. Divide into even number portions and roll out the dough into equal size roti.
  3. Spread out the filling and brush the edges with a little water and close with another roti. Or don’t add water to the edges and top with a roti n fold the edges to close.
  4. Cook on a hot pan with some butter and sesame seeds until toasted on both sides.
  5. Eat immediately while hot with a side of tamarind chutney or green chutney or chilli sauce.
