Today I woke up realizing I might have to go in earlier to have our bundle then the planned date. After having my cup of green tea I started making my breakfast bowls for the boys and myself. A breakfast providing all the nutrients from one box for the whole family from @futurelifeza
My eating patterns from the sizes to the type of foods I use to eat before my pregnancy hasn’t changed at all. Thanks to my crunch cereal for keeping me satisfied and full till my next meal for the day.
Eating for two does not mean eating twice as much food. Pregnant women need about 300 extra calories a day. But, where these calories come from matters.
* If you eat sweets or junk food, the extra calories do not provide the nutrients your baby needs.
* As a result, your growing baby will get the vitamins and minerals it needs from your own body. Your health could suffer
Instead of junk food, choose foods that are:
* High in protein
* Rich in omega-3 polyunsaturated fats and lower in trans fats and saturated fats
* Low in sugar (sugar provides only empty calories) or refined carbohydrates high in fiber just like @futurelifeza cereal
Other nutrients your baby needs are:
* Calcium
* Iron
* Folic acid
Your body becomes more efficient during pregnancy and is able to absorb more of the nutrients you eat. So consuming twice as much doesn’t double your chances of having a healthy baby – instead, it’s likely to mean excessive weight gain for you, which can put you at risk for pregnancy complications.
If you put on too much weight during pregnancy, you increase your risk of gestational diabetes, backaches, high blood pressure.
This is not to say weight gain should be restricted. Not gaining enough weight can have negative consequences for both mother and baby, so it’s important to achieve a healthy balance. You have to gain weight with blood levels rising, water content, baby, placenta, fat to support baby, hips widening to accommodate your baby.. Just keep moving, eat whole foods in moderation. After you give birth let your body heal for a month eating healthy and active not lying in bed. Once your body has healed after a month.. Start with reaching your goals.
